Little People

Most things I put on here, I put on to show off the girls, and to let people know what we are up to. This post is so I don't forget.

Grace and Isabel like many different things right now. They love to dress up, the LOVE playing with their babies, feeding them, dressing them, putting them in their strollers and walking them. They also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE playing with their little people. Not only do they play with them, but they have named them, and the names have stuck. It is VERY funny. Many of the people actually very much depict who they have named them after and it is hilarious!!! Others, I have NO idea where they came up with how they named them, and it is also HILARIOUS!!!!

Greg and I walked in one afternoon after work and this is what we found...they were all looking out the window at the cars going by!

They go on the bus and sing the "wheels on the bus" the whole way!

I will do my best at naming who are in the following pictures...
Isabel, Daniella (their cousin), Mommy, Papa
(yes, that is ME!! Looks just like me, doesn't it!)
Isabel showing Daddy
(yep, farmer daddy!)

And Grace showing GiGi on top of the princess castle!
(a perfect GiGi Aunt Denise!!! :)

and this was today, they were getting everyone ready so I could take a picture...
on top...Grandma and Grandpa
on the ledge...GiGi, Grace, Brit, Papa, Laura, Alex, Doug
and a bunch of random people on the bed.
Alex is our nanny who looks NOTHING like this. She is white as white can be and thinks it is SO, SO, SO funny!!
They have named a few of the little people duplicate names...for instance GiGi is the grandma figure, but also the clown on the bed, Papa is the construction worker, but also the fisherman, and another construction worker (both on the bed)...he has many roles here!!!
and then here...
I am in red on the one side, the Mary figure is no one at this point, but used to be Brit (which was HILARIOUS!!!!!! becuase at one point Doug was Noah!!! :)
Then on the bottom is Greg and Isabel (and another no name)
there is also a baby that they refer to as "Debbie's baby", SO sweet!
this is GiGi and Brit dancing!
They dance, they swing, they go on the bus. They sleep, they do EVERYTHING we do each and every day!!

BEAR Down!!!!!

We headed downtown on Saturday afternoon, got the girls bundled in their bears gear and started our journey to the game! We couldn't tell them we were going to see the bears...that scared them. But when we told them we were going to watch football...they were EXCITED!

My cute bears fans walking on Michigan Avenue.

We got on a double decker bus, and headed to Navy Pier.
The girls loved the bus ride, and looking around at all the sites.

Then we got on a boat and made our way to Solider Field.

Such a BEAUTIFUL ride!!

Just a little chilly!

Greg explaining a few things to the girls about what they are going to see.
From the start...

we knew things were going to be better than last year. The girls started cheering and yelling and clapping right away. It was SO cute!
We kept them eating and they did great! And lucky for us, everyone around us thought they were cute. That helped us buy a little time too!!
They were afraid of Staley at first, but by the time he left, they LOVED him! We got up and went and ran around with the other TONS of kids who were bored by this time.
Yes, Isabel has her shirt off here. She has a mind of her own right now and we have to pick our battles with her, and this was one I did not care about winning.
So shirtless she went for a while! Sweet little thing.
We watched some great bear drummers before we left. Even though it doesn't look like it, the girls loved them. It was loud, which explains why Grace had to plug her ears. But as with everything else we did that night, when the drums ended, they wanted "more!!"
This guy took us back downtown. What a fun ride. Isabel loved it, even though I didn't get her in the picture below. And Grace, well as you can tell by her face, she didn't love it until we were done, and then she wanted "MORE!!"

We got back with two VERY tired girls, we had a pizza party and watched the end of the game.
Can you tell how tired they were??? Totally in a TV zone!
Then, finally... sweet, sweet girls.
Such a fun filled afternoon/evening, and how lucky that we were able to do it, and even more lucky that we could do it as a family!!! Greg and I were so proud of the girls and how well behaved they were for our whole fun adventure!
And the bears even played well!! Even made the evening better!!
GO BEARS!

happy birthday

We were lucky enough to spend the week of Grace and Isabel's birthday at my parents house in Michigan. What a crazy, busy, fun week we had. People coming and going all week. LOTS of fun times with my family. And SO much singing and celebrating!!
Even before their birthday, the girls were singing "hap brday me!" over and over. So needless to say when the time really came, once was just not enough!!!

Grace

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture!
What a little beauty she is!!!

and Isabel...always a little more sceptical of things

but oh, so sweet!
We were lucky enough to have Greg's parents come spend some time with us while we were at my parents. So they were there to celebrate our fun times!
It was VERY special to both Greg and I to spend time with both our parents. I know I have said it before, but words can't describe how lucky we feel to have such amazing parents, and grandparents for our girls.

and again

a few more pictures of candles and cake.
sweet little grace who clearly loved being sung to each and every time!

and isabel...you may notice her candle is already out.
she decided to put it out before we sang, with her fingers.
sweet little thing. luckily she didn't get hurt, which made it a little easier for us to laugh :)
diggin in!
she was going for it!
