Last weekend, this weekend

The girls and I headed to my parents one day last week (which ended up being the night). The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! We had lots of fun and were outside almost the WHOLE time!

Sweet Isabel
We HAD to go to the beach to put our feet in the FREEZING cold water!
COOL Gracie!
My sweet Gram and I. She was looking out the window at the beautiful day and would NOT look at the camera! What a character she is these days! I feel SO lucky to be able to see her as much as we do. Such a special lady and such great memories for me!
Isabel
and Grace
looking a lot a like these days!!!
Thanks Papa and Gigi for a VERY fun impromptu spend the night!!
As always, we had LOTS of fun!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house to enjoy the beautiful day.
And to play in the new house Grandpa made!!!!
SWEEEEEET Isabel!!!! LOVE this picture! She was smiling at her daddy!
They got on their bikes, and could RIDE them!! They are growing TOO fast. They couldn't reach the pedals a few weeks ago!
Then a little swinging and lunch.
SUCH a fun morning!! Thanks "Dama" and "Dampa"!!!
Debbie and Rob came over for dinner last night.
We LOVED seeing Ella (and Debbie and Rob too!!!)
SUCH a big girl! And we sang an early happy birthday to Rob.
Today we headed to the park where it was FREEZING!
So we decided to venture downtown. We rode the train, to the bus, and went to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier. It was a BIG weekend for me. I rode the bus TWICE, with the first time being on Friday night, which was the first time alone EVER (except I wasn't quite alone...I had my girls) Let me tell you...I was JUST a little nervous!!! The girls LOVE public transportation, which isn't a bad thing I guess. It sure is cheaper to pay for the train/bus combo, than parking at Navy Pier!!!!! And to see them so happy! Makes it even more worth it.
Waiting for the bus
Isabel having a snack, enjoying the ride.
And at the museum. Having some fun together.
Lots of walking, lots of running, lots of stairs, and no naps to top it off!!
Needless to say, we have two crabby, tired girls here, but what a fun family weekend we had.

Easter fun!

The girls as we get ready to start the egg coloring festivities!
Grace is talking away as usual :)

My dad directed the event.

Grace and my dad got tired of doing it, so Isabel and I finished up.
She LOVED it!!
and was as cute as could be doing it! Got her WHOLE hand in there to make sure the "heggs" (as she calls them) were good and colored!
Easter morning, the girls were happy to find a few things from the Easter Bunny.

Then they found all their "heggs!" that were hidden for them.

And I should have known from the look on Grace's face here as she held up the nice pink Easter grass, what was to come...or at least that they were devising something together!
they made a swimming pool with the grass!!!!!
they were so proud of their VERY fast work, and then had to go through all their eggs saying "empty, empty, empty...what do we do now???"
such sadness that they had eaten all their candy!
what they didn't know is I had taken a bunch of the candy filled eggs when they weren't looking!
we had my parents, Greg's parents, Matthew, Kimmy, Daniella and Adrianna over for dinner that afternoon.
and a GREAT picture of Grandma with her FOUR grand daughters!!!
a fun day! and we are still picking up pink grass :)
