crazy...maybe

Okay, get ready for LOTS and LOTS of pictures...and a recap of our most recent adventure!

The girls and I packed up the car and we headed down to pick up Doug and Brit and off we went. We started our long drive to Florida! To say the girls were good in the car is an understatement!! They were amazing!!!!! Better than I could have ever expected!! Thank goodness for DVD players! And for Doug and Brit's patience!

Here we are, ready to go!

Sanibel

For those of you who have been there, you know just how great Sanibel Island is.

A WONDEFUL place!!

And there is nothing better than your first early morning walk out to the beach...

and putting your feet in the FREEZING cold water.

I LOVE Isabel's face here!!! Such excitement!

and then she fell of course right in the water! But it didn't seem to phase her. She wanted more!

The weather was not the best it has ever been when we have been there (and we have been going for a LONG time!) We would start most days with jackets and pants, put our suits on for a while, then after naps start puting on the layers again.

Here is Grace just enjoying the sand.

I forgot that sand gets EVERYWHERE with little people around. On them, on me...EVERYWHERE!

Both girls LOVED the beach...couldn't have made me more happy!!

My mom found a unique way to wash Grace's hands without getting the rest of her wet.

And even though it was not very warm outside, the little bit of humidity that was there gave me a indication of the curls we will have this summer. Wild, beautiful curly hair (that they will probably grow up and NOT think is so great!!!)

And then it came time for swimming. Bless my mom and brother's hearts. I am a big chicken and had no interest in getting in the pool. It was still a little too cold for me!

So in they went...

they LOVED it!!! And I loved being able to watch them. I was SO lucky to be able to watch both their faces the whole time. (Grace is with Doug, Isabel is with my mom)

Then a little more beach time.

they were getting brave at getting their feet in the FREEZIN ocean by the end of the week too!

so it wasn't the best weather ever, but what a great time we had. i got a break from the crazyiness of everyday life, got to spend time with my greg, grace, isabel, my mom, doug and brit. and got to wake up to this each morning. THAT is vacation to me!!!

doug and brit, you win a prize for your sweetness (especially in the morning when you were trying to sleep and I was THAT sister with the loud kids on vacation!!), your patience (they decided to start asking the big question..."what you doin doug? what you doin brit?" that week, and asked ALL week!), and love for the girls. i LOVE that they LOVE you SO much!!

I know. I know.

I need to update the blog!!! We were gone and then had one crazy week this week! But this weekend, I hope to update with lots of pictures from our fun trip!!

Mama Mia is a HUGE favorite at our house right now. I mean HUGE!!!! The girls know almost all the words to all the songs, and I have to sing the "girl parts" and Greg sings the "boy parts" and we get told if we are singing when it is a boy vs. girl singing the song!! They are hilarious as they sing and dance to their favorite song below. I know it is a long one, but they are so sweet and funny (at least I think so!)

Girl #4!!!!!

Grandbaby girl #4 that is, for Jack and Pat!! Matthew and Kimmy welcomed their second baby, Adrianna Michelle on Friday. Greg and I were lucky enough to visit our new little niece and and what a cutie she is!

Congratulations Matthew and Kimmy!!

And welcome Adrianna!

Grace and Isabel are especially excited to have another girl in the family!!!
